When pop hits dried up he emerged as successful Nashville-based writer penning hits for Tanya Tucker, Marie Osmond, Dan Seals, etc. Survived a shooting '86; signed to Capitol and had no. 1 country hits "You're Still New To Me' '86 (duet with Osmond) and "I Won't Take Less Than Your Love' '87 (for Tanya Tucker and Paul Overstreet), also working as a successful producer. |
