David (b 16 Sep. '50) and Howard (b 2 Feb. '46), pop/country duo from Darby, Florida. Began in country band with father in Tampa; later in soul band the Accidents, backing touring artists; combo Jericho '68; worked with Allman Bros, Brewer and Shipley. Break came with David's song 'Spiders And Snakes', no. 3 USA hit by Jim Stafford '74. Moved to LA, contract with WB, no. 1 pop hit (no. 7 UK) 'Let Your Love Flow' '76. 'Satin Sheets' (no. 43 UK), 'Crossfire', 'Bird Dog' in country-rock vein; moved to Nashville '78 to concentrate on country: 'Slipping Away', 'Lovin' On' '78 followed by 'If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me', international hit (no. 3 UK, no. 39 USA pop, no. 1 USA country chart).
