Singers, songwriters, producers Peter Andreoli and Vincent Poncia, both New Yorkers. Both members of The Videls (minor hit "Mr Lonely' '60); contract writers for Hill & Range music publishers, then with Phil Spector, writing Ronettes' hits "Do I Love You' and "(The Best Part Of) Breaking Up', also for Darlene Love and early single by Cher (as Bonnie Jo Mason). Formed production company, recorded as The Trade Winds (hits "New York's a Lonely Town', "Mind Excursion' '65-6), The Innocence ("There's Got To Be a Word', "Mairzy Doats', '67). Signed with WB late '60s, cut The Anders & Poncia Album prod. by Richard Perry and split up. Anders made eponymous solo album '72; Poncia worked with Perry; on six Melissa Manchester LPs, several by Ringo Starr incl. Bad Boy, two by Kiss and solo LP by Peter Criss, plus work with Fanny '74, Lynda Carter and Mary Travers '78, Ellen Foley '83 etc.
