Donald's Links
Here are links that I visit often. They are mostly on the arts, music in
particular, classical as well as jazz, folk, blues and whatnot. Some are
fancy sites and some less so; some are richer than others, but all are worth
visiting.
Terry Teachout blogs on the arts from New York; Norman Lebrecht writes a
weekly column from London about the classical music business; both range
widely and write well, so that their work is of interest beyond categories.
MusicWeb has new classical CD reviews, among other things; I go there five
days a week. Classical Net is very rich, with book reviews, CD reviews, all
kinds of stuff... BluesWax and FolkWax also have archives of reviews. Signal
To Noise and Point of Departure are about avant-garde improvised music. No
doubt I will add more links as time goes on, and there will always be
something for everybody.
