(b 13 Oct. '60, London, England) Vibes, marimba, composer. Came to public attention with Jazz Warriors, London-based '80s big band, joined Andy Sheppard soon after. Fluent but thoughtful improviser and promising composer. Signed to Blue Note for albums When Tomorrow Comes '92 and The Vibes Describes '94, the latter bordering on pop/funk but retaining the improvisational flair characterizing his work.
