(b 27 Feb. '65, New Rochelle NY) Piano, composer. Discovered jazz at 15, had trio with drummer- brother Gene. Played with Michael Brecker '87--'91, featured on his recordings and those of Jerry Bergonzi. Signed to Blue Note, albums incl. In the Door '91, To Know One '92 and trios- only The Traveler '93. His exuberant, classy style is influenced by McCoy Tyner and Herbie Hancock.
